My wife Cheryl and I are lifelong Tampa natives. In recent years we built two custom homes that were designed and built by Lee Fernandez. Both homes were exquisite examples of quality workmanship and marvelous design. Over 20 years of owning those two homes were years of great pride of ownership and impeccable workmanship. If we were to build another custom home today the only builder we would contact would be Lee Fernandez.

Lee Fernandez is the president of his family’s owned and operated company. He has over 40 years of experience in the home building industry. As a native Floridian he knows exactly what to design focusing on vacation-like environments that suit each client’s personal desires. All of his homes come with an impressive array of unique, special and included amenities.

Lee has developed an outstanding reputation for the design and building of estate residences within executive communities and waterfront locations. Many of these homes have often exceeded two million dollars in value. He does however have a special place in his heart for homes starting @ $500,000 for 2,500 SF. These smaller versions are perfect for the retirement minded client who is accustomed to and/or requires the best in their final and forever residences. The amount of money spent on our homes is solely determined by our client’s. Our level of quality is non-negotiable.

Having graduated from the University of South Florida, Lee comes from a family of builders. He is one of the very first builders to graduate from the NHBA Graduate Builders Institute at the University Of Florida School Of Architecture. His certifications include:

He originally began his career as a new homes real estate consultant and then ventured to provide business counsel to a variety of smaller building companies that sought expansion. Being very successful he later consulted and led national concerns looking to start up in Florida.

While being very educated and experienced he has spent the last years in continuing research of not only beautiful residences but homes that are super energy efficient, healthy and safe during extreme weather conditions.

Lee strives to make each client’s home building experience pleasurable experience by providing an impressive level of care, pampering, and responsiveness and limiting project acceptance to just two homes per year. With a hands-on approach and unmatched work ethic, Lee says you can always tell what kind of a builder someone is by their shoes. Coats, ties and shiny shoes simply imply that not much time, if any at all, is spent on the job site; however, disastrously soiled shoes indicate a person to be a Lee Fernandez kind of builder.

Communication

We provide real-time communication to subcontractors, inspectors and our client via jobsite cameras and Facetime. This allows us to answer questions and allow all to see what’s current, to see who is doing what, answer questions, view and review. This is to improve our customer experience by meeting any customer needs. Lee Fernandez Homes makes it easy for customers and subcontractors to communicate with us. Plus, you can watch your dream home’s creation by seeing the jobsite and getting photos throughout the process.

Along with our exclusive easy home design/build experience we provide convenient digital interaction/communication for better experiences for all parties concerned with your project. This is especially important during the COVID-19 crisis. We do this safely by reviewing, studying, researching, understanding and following all recommendations as issued by the CDC and those by the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) and the Florida Association of Home Builders (FAHB).

Best of all, we are proud to have our Save the Children Program.  Having worked with the Children’s Leukemia at Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa we have experienced the joy of helping out the children. Leukemia is the most common childhood cancer and typically occurs in children younger than 10.  We pledge to donate a nice share of our profits to benefit children who are suffering with cancer.  These monies will be donated to well-known and respected children’s cancer charities like Moffitt and St. Jude’s and others. Construction Management Team

Lee Fernandez Homes has proven to be a local design/builder you can trust. Lee knows how very important it is to associate with other highly respected talents in the industry. Fact is he’s taught other builders some of the process.

Our market knowledge and relationships with local authorities, developers, and subcontractors expedite and achieve everything about the building process of your new home. Most all of our approved subcontractors are the best at what they do and their selection is based on quality, reliability, service and loyalty to the mission, not necessarily just price.

We do not have any under experienced, unlicensed project managers or superintendents!  All of our work is managed by Lee himself, a State of Florida Licensed Certified Contractor with over 30 years experience designing and building 230 luxury custom homes.  His license number is CRC-029231, issued in 1984.  Lee does have the services of an Executive Assistant, a state certified contractor, who is highly trained and experienced in the luxury home building process.

Job site cameras are used so as to be accessed by Lee Fernandez Homes, our subcontractors and our client’s. All subcontractors’ managers and workmen will have facetime communication systems.

Our way of management is part of our principals and policies. All involved in the business/subcontractors must have the following qualities:

So that Lee is totally involved in most every aspect of each project LFHomes limits project acceptance to 2 to 4 homes per year!  Could more be built?  Well of course.  Yes, LFHomes has designed and built on average as 6 to 8 homes a year and as many as 14.  That’s just not how we operate anymore!  Ask WHY, you’ll love the answer.
